MASTER’S DEGREE PROGRAMS IN INDIA SINCE 1997
Illinois institute of technology Chicago (IIT C) USA is offering a few Master’s degree programs in India since 1997, as offered in Campus at Chicago. Students pursuing the Master’s program, get the same degree as campus students, with similar placement opportunities.
MASTER’S PROGRAMS AT A GLANCE
Illinois institute of technologies, Chicago (IIT - C) is a First Tier Research, Ph.D. granting private university, established in 1890. IIT-C offers dozens of accredited programs in Engineering, Science, Architecture, Business, Law etc in Chicago IIT-C is the leader in ‘E’ education (class room teaching from Chicago campus for students in remote sites), since 1976. With GOVT of India approval, IIt-C established its wholly owned subsidiary, ILLINOIS INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY(INDIA) PRIVATE LIMITED (IIT-I) and launched information technology related master’s degree programs in India in August 1997. Eligibility criteria for admission are same in India/ Chicago. Applications for admission are processed at Chicago only
Courses offered for India program and campus are the same.
Teaching methodology at Chicago/India is the same. At Chicago, Lectures are live telecast to various remote classrooms. They very same lectures are made available on Internet for students in India and other countries. Students in India and campus at Chicago do the same Assignments, Projects, Examinations etc. Only faculty concerned at Chicago evaluates all these.

ELIGIBILITY CONDITIONS:
Applicant must possess First Class (60%) in each semester in RELATED BRANCH of Undergraduate B E / B Tech program, or MCA or M.Sc (CS, IT, Electronics). GRE is required and TOEFL is not required. GRE Scores required are:

Students in the Final semester may also apply if their performance from 1st semester to 6th / 7th semester is 60% and better. They should produce proof of successful completion of the degree within 30 days of commencements of Master’s Program.
NON DEGREE ADMISSION:
Students without GRE Score may commence their 1st semester of Master’s program by opting for conditional admission (called as Non Degree admission for Master’s Degree Program) and continue with rest, after producing GRE score.
Students whose accredited B.E/B.Tech degree is not in appropriate branch of engineering may pursue the above mentioned Professional Master’s Degree provided that they have an adequate background and can demonstrate proficiency in such courses as advised by university.
ADMISSION:
All application for admission are processed at Chicago only by the Departmental admission committees and the admission decisions are intimated at least 3 weeks prior to commencement of the semester.

TEACHING METHODOLOGY AND EXAMINATIONS:
All Courses (Subjects) are entirely taught by professors in University campus at Chicago, using Hi-Tech Education Technologies. Same Lectures are made available in India through streamed Video in internet. Video / Audio conferences and E-mail are the modes of interactions with Professors at Chicago. Also “LIVE-ON-SITE” courses are organized where in a professor from IIT-C visits India and conducts classes. All courses, examination and assignment including projects are conducted can be attended completely either in India or in Chicago, or partly in India and partly in Chicago.
