GRE is composed of a general test and a test measuring the student’s ability in subjects. The General test is composed of verbal, quantitative and analytical writing sections. The analytical writing section deals with the student’s ability to understand and articulate complex ideas clearly, effectively and support ideas with relevant ideas and examples and sustain a well focused discussion. The verbal section analyses and evaluates the student’s ability to comprehend relationships among component parts of sentences and recognize relationships between the words in sentences. The qualitative section deals with the basic concepts of arithmetic, algebra, geometry, data analysis and the ability to solve problems in a quantitative style.

The subject tests measure ability in specific subject areas like Biochemistry - cell and molecular biology, Biology, Chemistry, Computer Science, and Literature in English, Mathematics, Physics and Psychology.GRE general test is what most of the universities look for as their criteria for admission. Some universities and some programs look into the GRE subject tests as one of the basic eligibility for admission.

GMAT is a computer based adaptive test specifically designed to help graduate schools assess the qualifications of applicants for advanced study in business and management. GMAT measures basic verbal, mathematical and analytical writing skills that are developed over a period of time.

GMAT scores are recognized by over 1,700 management schools throughout the world. The GMAT does not assume any knowledge of business or other specific subject areas of the students taking up the test. GMAT does not measure subjective factors like motivation, creativity, study skills or interpersonal skills.

TOEFL iBT is taken up by people who plan to take up studies in colleges and universities where the medium of instruction is English. It is a test, which measures the ability of non-native speakers of English to use and understand North American English. Around 5000 colleges and universities accept TOEFL iBT scores, worldwide. For over four decades now, TOEFLiBT has been taken up by thousands of students desirous of higher studies.

TOEFL iBT is administered on computers in most parts of the world. Wherever computer access is not available the paper and pencil version is administered. The new version of TOEFL, called training is provided at Manchester. IELTS is to ensure that the prospective students have the level of English to meet college entry standards and visa requirements. IELTS tests the proficiency of English language skills required by students studying in English medium. All candidates take the same listening and speaking modules, but there is an option of either academic or general training in the reading and writing modules. The academic training module is suitable for students planning to undergo higher studies and the general training module is more suitable for candidates planning to undertake non- academic training or work experience or even for immigration. The faculties handling IELTS course at our Institution have been trained by “BRITISH COUNCIL TRAIN THE TRAINER" to train our students.

IELTS is recognized by over 380 American institutions as well being recognized in Australia, New Zealand, Canada and the UK. Manchester with its vast experience in training students for IELTS, has been successfully mentoring students with British council trained faculty on the different modules of IELTS.

Millions of students take up the SAT admission tests for qualifying to studying in college level, every year throughout the world. SAT is a reasoning test of three hours duration measuring verbal and mathematical reasoning skills that students are required to do at the college level.

The SAT Test consists of 7 sections totally. The verbal test consists of three sections testing the student's knowledge to understand and analyze written material, recognize relationships between parts of a sentence and establish relationship between words.

The math section consists of solving problems involving arithmetic, algebra and geometrical questions. The variable section is the last section. This section doesn't count in the ultimate score and it is basically used to test new questions and to make the scores comparable.
